6D COMBO BROWS
Microblading + Shading
What are 6D Combo Brows?
Also known as Microshading, 6D Combo Brows is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that combines microblading and shading together to create the perfect brows. Unlike Microblading which is not recommended for those with oily skin and large pores, it heals well on all skin types (including oily skin). It’s great for anyone who wants to define, darken or reshape their eyebrows.

What's the difference between 6D Brows and microblading?
Unlike microblading, 6D Combo Brows offer more coverage and shading which means more customizable brows! You can do either a dark dramatic shading or a natural finish. 6D Brows are more suitable for those with asymmetrical brows or naturally sparse brows. The shading helps the hair strokes blend into the brow hairs, resulting in a more natural look.

What Should I Expect At My 6D Combo Brows Appointment?

We always recommend bringing pictures of your ideal brow shape or style and photos of the way you fill them out with makeup if that's the shape or style you are trying to achieve. If you don't know what you want, simply let us know at your appointment and we will help you choose a style that best suites your face shape and personal preferences. After the consultation, we will begin to map your brows. We always make sure you approve of the shape before beginning the procedure. During the procedure we will use a special lidocaine based numbing gel to reduce pain. If you have high pain sensitivity, let us know in advance and we will pre-numb you. The process of microblading is not too long itself (about 30-40 minutes). In between the session we will take short breaks to numb your brows and apply pigment masks. After the process is complete, you will receive aftercare instructions and a topical ointment to apply to your brows!

What Is The Aftercare for 6D Combo Brows?

DAYS 1-7:

Wash the brow area twice per day followed by applying the microblading aftercare ointment.
-
At the start and end of each day, use your clean fingertips and a mild soap such as Cetaphil to gently cleanse your eyebrows.
-
Avoid using any cleansing products that contain exfoliants or acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA).
-
Keep in mind the cleansing shouldn't be a thorough scrub-down, it just needs to be done by gently rubbing the brow area in a soft, smooth manner.
-
When rinsing, be sure to rinse every trace of soap from the brow area.
-
Dry the entire eyebrow area completely by blotting it with a clean tissue.
-
Use a clean finger to apply a small amount of the microblading aftercare ointment to the brow area. Do not apply the ointment unless the area is dry.
-
Less is more when considering how much ointment to apply; the amount applied to each eyebrow should be comparable in size to half of a grain of rice.
-
Microblading aftercare ointment should only be applied twice per day following the washes to avoid suffocating the skin and interfering with the skin’s natural healing process.

DAYS 8-14:

The aftercare ointment no longer needs to be applied, but continue to gently wash the brow area each morning and night.

THINGS TO AVOID:

***Avoid the following for 10 days after your microblading procedure.
-
Touching the brow area except when washing or applying aftercare ointment.
-
Scratching, picking or peeling the brow area, as it can cause scarring and/or color loss.
-
Applying any makeup, moisturizer, lotion, or sunscreen to your eyebrows.
-
Sun exposure - sun tanning - salon tanning
-
Laser or chemical peels, and any other form of exfoliation.
-
Exercise - participating in sports and activities that induce perspiration
-
Long, hot baths or showers - jacuzzis - saunas - swimming
-
Applying any creams to your face or neck containing retinol or glycolic acid.

AFTER DAY 14:
Resume your normal activities except, continue to avoid laser or chemical peels and forms of exfoliation, and any creams containing retinal or glycolic acid until after the completion of your microblading touch up appointment, and its healing process as well.
